Guitar gear

Okay this blog is really just talking to all guitar players out there who are wondering what guitar gear to use for worship music.  All I can suggest is what I use because I'd say a lot of that depends on what style you are playing and the sound you are looking for.  But that being said, I've found that my Taylor T5 custom 2 Macassar ebony is a great hybrid guitar for worship.  With this guitar I can get a good acoustic sound, and can even make it sound better on the electric end of things.   I run it through a Boss GT10 effects rack, which enables me to get the sound(s) I need.  I recently bought a Fender Deville amp for the church for our practice time, I loved it so much I also purchased one for my home use.  This is a great tube amp with a nice clean sound and when I run the GT10 through it, you can't even imagine all the sounds I can get.

If you are an electric guy, I highly recommend a G & L Legacy.  I've had one for years and I love it.  This is the last guitar Leo Fender put out before he died.  He made this one with his guitar tech in a partnership, that's why it doesn't read Fender.

For all you acoustic lovers, I recently played a Taylor GS8, wow!  Amazing sound, will definitely be my next big guitar purchase.

Good luck all you guitar players, keep strumming!
