When my granddaughter Christianna was five she loved to sit in her Grandfather "Gran-Gran's" lap for story time. The two of them would snuggle together in the "big chair" and, at her insistance, Reg would read the same stories over and over again. Each time when Peter fell under the spell of the White Queen, or the Giant came after Jack, he could feel her tense up beside him and would ask her is she was alright listening to the scary stuff. Christianna would look up at her grandfather with an exasperated scowl and say, "Read it, Gran-Gran, it's alright." She had heard the stories many, many times before and knew it would work out just fine.
How many times have we heard God's Word tell us that we can believe in Him, that there is nothing to fear, that things will work out alright for us in the end. We can be "so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is working into something good." This tells us that our story will also have a happy ending. No matter how many White Queens or Giants we encounter in our journey, no matter how bad it gets, everything will be okay in the end.
"Well, it's alright, everything will work out fine
Well it's alright, we're going to the end of the line." The Traveling Willburys
Romans 8:28 CEV
We know that God is always at work for the good of everyone who loves Him.
